Description

This new SmartMarket Report is a 48-page printed report (available in hard copy or PDF format) that examines the results of research conducted by McGraw-Hill construction Analytics regarding the market for Public- Private Partnerships in U.S. transportation infrastructure. This study, produced with support from Halcrow, is the first to provide an overview of the perspective of transportation officials about the appeal of public-private partnerships for financing new assets or improving existing ones. The research finds that experience leads to a positive outlook on PPP - 54% of officials with PPP experience report that they approve strongly of them. Other key findings include that the current economic downturn is not perceived by officials as a major obstacle, and that most officials without PPP experience have not made up their minds about them.
